The Vision
Croydon Alive exists to encourage, equip, and empower Churches and Believers across the borough in mission, evangelism and discipleship through mentoring, training, resourcing, and evangelistic events.
Croydon Churches: Work with Church Leaders:
- Through one-2-one conversations and gathered church leaders meetings create space for dialogue, training and resourcing to help create mission centric churches.
- Facilitate conversation and support in the production of a 3-5 year ‘evangelism plan’ to reach Croydon with the gospel.
- Encourage both local individual church evangelism and collaborative evangelistic events across the local area.
Individual Churches: Working with and supporting Pastors to:
- Provide in-house evangelism training to equip individual Christians to become confident in sharing the gospel through personal evangelism.
- To sign post Churches to available resources and support local Churches with evangelistic resources.
- Assist local Churches in holding evangelistic events.
Evangelism Teams
- To create space for evangelists and local church evangelism teams to meet together for fellowship, support and training. 3 – 4 ‘Evangelist hub’ meetings per year.
- Encourage evangelists/local church teams to train and encourage others in their local Church in personal evangelism
Events
To hold 3-4 main evangelistic events/outreaches per year (Carols in Croydon, Easter outreach, Summer outreach etc.)
To be a support to other evangelistic events in the borough
Statement of Faith
- The statement faith held by ‘Croydon Alive’ is that of the UK Evangelical Alliance
Core Team - The current core team for ‘Croydon Alive’ is:
• Steve Mullins (Steve Mullins Evangelistic Ministries)
• Pastor Tony Obayori (Grace Assembly)
• Pastor Bola Thomas (His Grace Evangelical Outreach)
